specific routing map question – August 16, 2022 at 10:34PM

I am trying to determine how to make a map/route in Google maps with multiple stops that I can save and share with someone else and be able to start the map anywhere along the route. I was able to make one from my house to my son’s college with stops every 45 minutes (for his safety as driving makes him fall asleep), but if he accidently closes Goole Maps at any of the stops and reopens then it wants to start back at home and not the location where he is located along the route.There is no way to click start again. I need it to be dynamic and not static. Is there a way to do this that I am missing? If not, do you know of any other free app that we could use to do this?

More info – made my route with a starting point of home address or “your location” and both resulted in a static location. I made the stops between home and college (end point) by adding them under “Your places”
