Schiff: Founding Fathers Intended Impeachment to ‘Protect the Next Election’ –

“What the Founders had in mind is if the President commits high crimes and misdemeanors, you must remove him. It’s not voiding the last election. It is protecting the next election,” said Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee Adam Schiff as he takes questions from senators about the impeachment articles Wednesday afternoon.
