Why Syril and Mosk Switched Hats in the Andor Season Finale –
Why did Syril and Mosk swap hats in the Andor finale? I don’t know exactly why, but I think that moment was simply meant to show some level of camaraderie between the two characters. Mosk specifically seems tuned into Syril. As they reach Rix road, he keeps holding his former superior officer back from danger. I think Mosk genuinely views him as a friend and cares for him. But then as the riot explodes and Syril rushes off to protect Dedra, Mosk is left alone. We don’t know what happens to Karn, but he never comes back for his friend. Mosk is last seen drinking in the street by himself, and I think that’s meant to be contrasted back to how the two started the episode together. But Syril doesn’t value Mosk. He’s farther down the chain of command. He values Dedra far more because, yes I think he likes her and is being a creep about it, but I also think he sees her as a potential step up in the world.
