The Esri UC is taking over San Diego next week and we’ll be camped out at the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina Sunday 7/19 through Wednesday 7/22. Esri’s adoption of the Mapbox Vector Tile spec, announced this year at the Esri developer conference, is huge for mobile. Compatibility will allow developers to use ArcGIS 10.3+ to generate vector tiles that feed directly into our latest iOS SDK. Working with Brian Flood at Arc2Earth, we’re scoping integration that allows ArcMap to properly display, create, and upload vector tiles. We’re looking forward to syncing with developers contributing improvements to the specification through github.com/Esri.
