What the ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ poster reveals … and what it hides

The new poster for Star Wars: The Force Awakens presents many of the new and old characters, but it leaves a few hidden. As we await Monday's debut of the new trailer, here's a dive into what the poster shows and tells. First of all, Adam Driver's Kylo Ren looms large over the proceedings, as most villains do. His red blade, and the staff of Daisy Ridley's Rey combines with the downturned lightsaber of John Boyega's Finn to form a pyramid. Ren may hover over it, but the central figure is Rey. The way her staff aligns with his unstable laser sword makes me worry about her fingers, but it also promises a throwdown between these two.
