It's back to the Grammys stage for Taylor Swift: Pop star confirmed to perform

The Grammys just keep rolling out big-name performers. The awards show already boasts a lineup that includes Adele, Kendrick Lamar, and Alice Cooper, among others, and now Taylor Swift is joining the all-star roster as well.

The event was already going to be a big night for the country-songstress-turned-pop-star, whether or not she performed. Swift received seven Grammy nominations, one of which is in the coveted Album of the Year category, and she’s tied with the Weeknd for the second-most nods. (Lamar leads the pack with 11 nominations.) Odds seem good that she’ll win at least one, so seeing her on stage too will be the cherry on top for fans.

The Grammys’ Twitter account confirmed Sunday that the singer would perform at the 58th annual event.

Swift is no stranger to the Grammy stage, so clearly the Recording Academy likes having her on the lineup. She has performed at the vaunted awards show multiple times over the years, both singing solo and collaborating with artists like Miley Cyrus and Stevie Nicks. However, her most recent album, 1989, was her first to officially be in the pop genre (no matter how pop-influenced its predecessors were), so this year’s performance will still be a milestone for the musician.

The night is going to be packed with live music, and the performers will come from all different genres. Those announced so far range from country’s Carrie Underwood to rapper Pitbull to DJ Diplo. Even the Broadway cast of the musical Hamilton will be on hand to perform.

The 2016 Grammy Awards will air live on both coasts on CBS at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT on February 15.
