Retired Working Dog Receives Praise for Distinguished Service

After serving more than seven years on active duty, Rico, a military working dog, was diagnosed with Canine Degenerative Myelopathy, which led to his retirement. Rico suffered declining health and he was humanely euthanized by a Army veterinarian at the treatment facility on Dover Air Force Base, Del., Jan. 24, 2018. Air Force photos by Roland Balik
