3D Printing
Blade prints edge-up just barely fits across the diagonal of my FlashForge Creator Pro. Going to mill it in aluminum eventually.
Setup for the .NC files:
- 2x12x0.25 inch aluminum stock (I’m using 6061-T6, 7075 would be nicer)
- x,y zero is the center of the geometry, z-zero is top of stock.
- Setup is a two sided machining job, mirrored on the X axis.
- Rouging and Pencil use 1/8″ 4-flute square end mill – program is set at 40″/min 0.005″ depth of cut.
- Finishing use 1/8″ ball end mill.
