I’ve owned multiple third generation F-bodies and converted then to conventional carburetors, LS and megasquirt. I always wanted a better solution to plugging the ECM wiring pass-thru in the passenger side footwell because a gapping hole lets outside air in and chopping off the harness on both sides makes me feel like I’m doing a hackjob, even if nobody else ever sees it.
Now I’ve created a plug to fill that void. Installation is the opposite of harness removal. The plug can be sealed with the original foam gasket or self adhesive foam house door weatherstripping available at every home improvement and hardware store I’ve ever gone into. Once the seal is in place, you simply re-install the clip used to secure the original harness, it locks into place with the clip’s locking tabs.
I give express permission for free use of this design, as well as sale to anyone without 3d printing capability as long as the sale price is for material cost alone (which should not exceed USD $2.00).
