The coronavirus pandemic has spread across the globe and has already claimed countless lives. In the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are estimating that 100,000 may perish due to the illness. In these trying times, charities that help people, as well as medical facilities, need a lot of help. The gaming industry is also doing its part to raise funds for coronavirus relief.

Apex Legends

EA launched a “Stay & Play” initiative a few days ago, and today it’s extending it to the Apex Legends Global Series. The event is shifting to online tournaments and giving players the opportunity to earn cash per event. Just register here and see if you can win some cash by emerging victorious in Apex Legends.

Humble Bundle

Humble Bundle has launched a special “Conquer COVID-19 Bundle” that includes a number of games and more. It’s one of the company’s strongest packages and you’re sure to find a game or two you like among the endless list. Just search for “COVID” here and you can purchase it. Some of my favorites in the bundle include Darksiders II and Sniper Elite III.

Steve Downes, the voice of Master Chief, will his famous voice for a charity that plans on buying medical supplies for those in need, no matter where they are.

Other companies like CD Projekt RED and Ubisoft are also giving free games or have donated millions of dollars to fight coronavirus. Hopefully, we’ll all come out of this stronger and more prepared for future problems that may arise.
