Artillery Sidewinder X1 Handle – Rigid

large_preview_Sidewinder_X1_Handle_-_Sti

I was frustrated with the level of flexibility in the handles for the Artillery Sidewinder X1, so I decided to design one for myself.

When printing this, supports are needed for both the handle part and the part that connects to the base plate. You will need to completely loosen the front two leveling knobs, lift the plate, and slide the handle over the base plate support structure.

I attempted to make the tolerances tight in order to increase stiffness, but you may need to extend the Z-Axis by a few percent if it is too tight over the base plate support.

I recommend more outlines and less infill. I print 4 outlines and 20% infill (S3D Full Honeycomb).

Any recommendations for this design would be very helpful.

I believe you can print this in PLA, PETG, or ABS (I guess Nylon if you want to go crazy).

Due to being separated from the heat plate by the insulated layer, I doubt you will ever run in to issues with the handle bending, even if printed in PLA.
