To begin, say you are building a deck, if you for even a few seconds “tab out” of Hearthstone to, say, google an interaction between cards, you will most likely be met by “you have been disconnected, reconnect ?” upon tabbing back in, throwing you back to the main menu, and then maybe succeeding in reconnecting you. Way too often the game seems to simply crash when attempting to reconnect, though.
Now say you are playing a game on your mobile and come home to where you have wi-fi and your phone decided to connect to it… tough luck, chances are HS will play fine for like 10-15 seconds with the new internet, then suddenly disconnect and say you have no internet, then try to reconnect… and most likely crash to the screen that says “please restart the application”.
Is this state of the app when it comes to connecting and re-connecting really excusable in 2023 ? Other games like Legends of Runeterra and Marvel Snap have none of these issues, you can tab out of LoR for half an hour and come back like nothing happened, and you barely notice a change when swapping between using the mobile internet and wi-fi…
